5 Factor Model (Cognitive Model) – FREE CBT

When it comes to understanding and using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, the place to start is understanding the Cognitive Model, also known as the 5 Factor Model. This is the first in a series of FREE CBT vlogs we will be publishing, to help you with some self-help CBT. In the video above, we take a look at the 5 Factor Model and how we can use it in a regular moment of the day. It helps us to see how our thoughts can affect our moods & emotions. We can also see how our feelings then influence our behaviours and reactions to a situation. We can see how the same situation can result in very different outcomes, depending on the choices we make in regards to our thoughts about it!
