Mental Health Discussion Topics Activity

Bell Let’s Talk Day is this month (on the 25th) so we’re gearing up for more conversation around mental health.  You can download this “Chatterbox” from Bell, with mental health discussion topics inside. It’s folded like the old cootie catcher or fortune teller origami games you used to make as a kid!

The download comes with folding instructions to make your Chatterbox.  All you need is paper, a printer, and a pair of scissors!

Once you’ve made your Chatterbox, you can find instructions for how to play on your printout, right next to the folding instructions. We think there’s a good chance it’ll all come back to you from when you were a kid.

You’ll find discussion questions about mental health under each flap.  He hope these mental health conversation starters will get some good discussion going in your home. Maybe you’ll discover ways that your family members could benefit from your help!

Bell Let’s Talk Day

Bell Let’s Talk Day is coming up on January 25th this year.  It’s an opportunity for us all to help spread the word about mental health.  Bell will be donating $10 million to fund mental health initiatives in 2023.

On January 25 and every day throughout the year, we can all take meaningful action to create positive change. You can use the actions below for inspiration or come up with your own. Share your actions using #BellLetsTalk to help inspire others!

  • Choose a mental health organization to learn about or support
  • Help a friend struggling with mental health issues by learning ways to support them
  • Ask about how your school, workplace, or community is creating change for mental health
  • Nurture your own well-being by practicing and learning mental health strategies
  • Get involved in a mental health initiative or organize an event to support mental health
  • Engage in conversations about mental health to fight stigma

We’ll be sharing more details and information on the  Qualia Facebook Page  as we get closer to that date and sharing more resources here on the blog.
