An Easy Way to Stop Procrastinating

Have you ever wished for an easy way to stop procrastinating?

Most of us encounter procrastination at some point in our lives. Whether we’re procrastinating doing smaller tasks like mowing the lawn or getting the laundry done or bigger things like our taxes or handing in a report at work, procrastination can really impact our lives in a negative way.

Sometimes procrastination needs some work in talking with a therapist to figure out what’s going on, but today I want to talk about a quick tip to manage procrastination that you can do on your own.

Quick Tip Video: An Easy Way to Stop Procrastinating

Start With the First Step!

1. Think about the first step in the job you need to do. Define the first step.

2. Plan for how to do the first step.

3. Go out and do it!

Oftentimes, getting the first step done will help the 2nd step to fall into place and before you know it, you’ve got some great momentum going! Just planning for the first step can help the task to feel less overwhelming, too.

Try getting started on one part of the job and see if it helps you to move past that block that’s causing you to procrastinate!

Give this a try this week!
