Salih is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). He holds a Master`s Degree in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from University of Toronto and Ph.D. Degree in Education, with an experience of teaching for long years. He works with adults and young adults on a wide variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, work burnout, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, bereavement and insomnia. He offers a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can easily share their most vulnerable moments and work through their issues. He welcomes clients to walk along a therapeutic journey with them to bring their human potential to light to thrive for a better life. Salih uses an integrated approach depending on his clients` needs and goals, commonly employing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) techniques, specifically for anxiety, worry and depression.
Narrative Therapy (NT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) are other modalities he incorporates into his practice. He embraces people from all walks of life, regardless of race, gender, faith, or ethnicity. Besides his professional experience, he also brings his life experience as a trauma survivor, teacher, professor and father into his practice. Last but not least, he is a true believer in the empowerment of his clients to make their own life decisions.
Salih is a huge fan of soccer (especially of Liverpool and Brazilian National Soccer Team) and loves watching and playing soccer with his two sons. He is an avid reader, loves spending time with family, and travels to see new places whenever he can. He also loves walking in nature to listen to the creation to find calm and peace.
