With her combination of warmth and thoughtfulnessa MacKenzie provides an individualized experience that helps every client work towards the goals that matter most to them. MacKenzie is a Registered Psychotherapist and completed her Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University. She additionally holds an Honours Psychology degree from the University of Waterloo with a Research Intensive Specialization.
MacKenzie works well with a wide range of people. Her fun energy and unwavering acceptance serve her well in her work with children and youth at Qualia. Through games, art, and storytelling, she fosters connections with young people that increases their ability to cope with complex struggles like anxiety, depression, impulsive behaviour, school refusal, and more.
MacKenzie’s background in working with individuals facing mobility barriers, chronic illness, and brain injury also provides her with unique skills in fostering hope, resiliency, and self-advocacy for those confronting personal and societal barriers. This combination of skills allows her to work comfortably with mental health concerns across the lifespan.
