Work Experience and Education

Amanda is a Registered Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work specializing in Indigenous Studies. She is a Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Band Member and has worked on Six Nations in various roles for many years. Amanda works with Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients and has experience with people of all ages and abilities.


She has a background working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, intimate partner violence, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Amanda strives to create a clinical practice grounded in compassion, acceptance, and safety. She uses a variety of therapeutic modalities, including a wholistic approach, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and a strengths-based approach, while also incorporating reality therapy and choice theory.


Outside of her professional life, Amanda is an animal and nature lover. She spends much of her time hiking in the forest with her dog, photographing mushrooms, and foraging for plants to make natural medicines. She also enjoys exploring garage sales, going on adventures, gardening, and spending time with her loved ones.
